Smoking Cessation Clinic

As part of the Dudley Stop Smoking Service the surgery is able to offer in-house support for those smokers wishing to stop.

It has been shown that Nicotine replacement products and Zyban (a new treatment for smoking cessation) can improve success rates in smoking cessation. During one-to-one and group sessions these treatments will be discussed and, if appropriate, prescribed for the quitter!!

Unfortunately smoking cessation products can only be prescribed to patients when they are seen at the smoking cessation groups or one-to-one sessions in designated clinics. The clinics are run by our practice nurse or health care assistant with a doctor available to answer any queries.

Times of the sessions currently available are as follows:

  • One-to-One Session - Wednesday between 4.00pm - 5.00pm
  • Thursday between 9.00am - 11.30am
  • Friday between 1.00pm - 2.30pm

Anyone expressing an interest can complete a form found at reception or via the practice nurse indicating which session preferred. The above times are subject to change. Please enquire when collecting the form.
